Description

The Lodge to Upcot, built around 1886 and designed by architect R. Norman Shaw, features a red brick ground floor and a first floor adorned with fish-scale tiles. The building has a pitched tile roof and tall red brick stacks with cornicing. It is two storeys high and has a cross-wing plan. The left bay includes a mullion and transom casement window with glazing bars, along with an oblong bay on the ground floor that has similar features. The right bay contains a casement window with glazing bars beneath a dormer roof, and planked double doors below. There is a one-storey coach house extension to the east, which has planked double doors and a planked loft door above.
