Description

The Post Office is a 17th-century building that has been modernised. It is a single-and-a-half-story structure with colour-washed brick and stone walls and a timber-framed upper portion. The roof is thatched, with the thatch swept over a small, central, three-light casement window on the attic level. On the ground floor, there is a three-light 19th-century casement window with a six-pane lattice light immediately above it to the left. A plain, ledged central door sits alongside a small, early 19th-century angular bay window with a moulded cornice to the right. The building forms part of a group with Ferndale (No. 1), Manton Weir Farmhouse, Nos. 66 to 70 (consec), The Oddfellows Arms public house, and No. 73.
