Description

Nos 24A and 24B on High Street is a late 18th-century shop and first-floor shop located in a row of buildings. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a double Roman tiled roof with a coped verge to the left and a saddlestone. The building is two stories high with two windows. Although the ground floor has a 20th-century shop front and openings, the cornice above the ground floor has been preserved. On the first floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows set in moulded architraves, and a deep moulded eaves cornice. The left side of the building has one 8-pane sash window and a moulded string course on the first floor. This building slightly projects from the line of the frontage and has group value with Nos 24, 26, and 28, which are attached to the left.
