Description

No 16 High Street is a detached shop and house built in the early 19th century. It features ashlar stonework and a hipped roof made of Welsh slate, with brick stacks. The building has three storeys and three windows. The shop front was updated in the 20th century. On the first floor, there are three 4-pane sash windows, while the second floor has three casement windows. The sides of the building have pilasters that extend up to a frieze with a cornice and blocking course above. At the rear, there is a late 19th-century extension made of rubblestone, which includes a warehouse with plate glass sashes on all three floors. This building is included in the listing for its group value with Nos 12 and 14.
