Description

CORSHAM CHURCH SQUARE ST 8770 5/73 Batchelor monument in churchyard about 5m north-east of Newman monument, north of chancel of Church of St. Bartholomew GV II

Chest tomb, later C18, ashlar with oval plaque each side on raised centre panel, fielded panels flanking. Baluster corners. Moulded base and cornice with pulvinated frieze broken forward over centre. South inscription to R. Batchelor, died 1773.
