Description

The Blazey monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 9 meters south of the south porch of the Church of St. James. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features fielded plaques on each side, which are flanked by fielded strips, and has baluster corners. It is adorned with a moulded base and cornice. The inscription commemorates S. Blazey, who died around 1774.
