Description
Ivydene is a farmhouse built in the early 18th century, with alterations made around 1800. It features Flemish bond brickwork with stone quoins and an asbestos slate roof, topped with gable end brick stacks. The building is two stories high and has a three-window front. To the left of the center, there is a four-panelled door with a transom light and a flat wooden hood supported by iron brackets, flanked by 16-pane sash windows. A moulded string course runs at lintel level. On the first floor, there is a central blocked 2-light cyma-mullioned window, with 16-pane sash windows on either side. The left side of the building has an external brick stack, while the right side is made of rubble stone. At the back, there is an 18th-century wing with a Welsh slate roof and a verandah. The interior has not been inspected.
