Description

The wall and gates to the east of The White House in Yatton Keynell date from the early 19th century and are constructed of rubble stone and ashlar. At the south end, there is a summerhouse featuring a stone-tiled pyramid roof and horizontal viewing slits on the south and east sides. The wall is coped and ramps up to the summerhouse, which includes a Gothic arched pedestrian gateway with an iron spearhead gate. There are two tall octagonal gatepiers with octagonal caps, and the wall beyond ramps down before rising again at the north corner.
