Description
The White House is a house from the late 18th century, featuring a rendered exterior with ashlar dressings and a Bridgwater tile roof. It has coped gables and end wall stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The north front includes a parapet and twelve-pane sash windows set in ashlar flush moulded surrounds. There is a six-panel door located in a central moulded doorcase, which is sheltered by a projecting stone porch in the Roman Doric style.
On the south side, there is no parapet, but it has two similar upper windows and one ground floor window to the right, along with a leaded stair light at half level to the centre and a ground floor left glazed conservatory from the 20th century. The west end features a rubble stone range that is gabled to the west, with a two-light flush cyma-moulded upper window and a similar lower opening that is blocked. There is a blank single light on the north side. Running south, there is a rubble stone stable and loft range, which has two upper two-light flush mullion windows and two doors below, arranged alternately.
