Description

West View is an early 19th-century house constructed of coursed rubble stone with a stone tiled roof and end wall stacks. It is two storeys and an attic in height, with a three-window front. Flush quoins mark the left angle. The windows are 12-pane sashes, and the central entrance has a 19th-century door in a plain chamfered surround, with a 20th-century porch added. A single-story outshut extends from the rear, containing a 6-panel door set within a reused moulded oak doorcase. Another reused moulded oak doorcase is found within a ground-floor rear room. The roof is 5-bay and partly constructed of reused timber, including one 17th-century moulded chamfer stop.
