Description

The garden wall at Uffcott Farm dates from the 18th to 19th century. It is constructed of squared chalkstone and features a thatched coping. The wall is shaped like a 'U' and has a rounded end facing the road, which includes a 19th-century wall post-box. There are two later sarsen raking buttresses. The soffit board is supported on transverse timber plates that run through the top courses of the wall. There is a door leading into the garden. The inner face of the wall has a series of brick boxes in the upper section, which may have been used as bee boles or for frost fires.
