Description
Mill Cottage is a house dating from the mid 18th century, constructed of rubble stone with a stone tiled roof. It features coped gables and has stacks at both the north end and the rear wing on the west end. The building is two storeys high with an attic and is designed in an L-plan. It has flush quoins and a double fronted appearance, with two 2-light flush cyma-moulded mullion windows on each floor, all equipped with dripstones. The central door is set in a chamfered doorcase and is topped with a hood supported by brackets. The south end wall includes a similar window in the attic and on the ground floor. The rear wing has a matching 3-light window on the north side for each floor and a 2-light window on the upper south side. There is also a single storey extension at the west end, featuring a coped gable and stone tiles. Inside, there is a Tudor arched fireplace located at the west end of the ground floor.
