Description
The boundary wall adjoining the stable block to The Chantry is a structure from the 18th or 19th century, built of coursed limestone rubble. The wall extends to the left of the stable block, maintaining the same plane and reaching a height of approximately 3 meters, topped with a two-course saddleback stone coping. It continues to the south-west corner of the churchyard and then turns at a right angle along the south side of the churchyard to connect with the churchyard boundary. Due to the elevation of the churchyard, the wall appears taller on The Chantry side. Together with the Church of St Michael and The Chantry, this wall is an important visual link between the two properties.
