Description
Two cowsheds located to the east of the Great Barn at Brokenborough, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble with dressed stone jambs at the entrances, wooden lintels, and stone slate roofs. The shed closest to the Great Barn features brick infill at the west end and a hipped roof at the east end, which has corrugated iron underneath. The shed furthest from the Great Barn has decayed weatherboarding at the east end above the entrance. Both sheds have simple through-purlin, tie-and-collar roof structures, with some timbers having been renewed. These cowsheds are included mainly for their group value with the Great Barn.
