Description

Hatt House is a house dating from around 1820, constructed with an ashlar front and a hipped slate roof. It has two ashlar stacks at the rear. The house is three storeys high and has a three-window front. A raised sill band, moulded cornice, and parapet are prominent features. The attic level contains three six-pane square windows, while the first floor has a central nine-pane sash window flanked by tripartite windows with a 3-9-3 pane configuration. The ground floor features a central twelve-pane sash window, a tripartite window with a 4-12-4 pane arrangement on the right side, and a four-panel door with side-lights within a Roman Doric projecting porch. The porch has paired front columns and single column responds. A single-storey addition is present on the left side, featuring a matching cornice, parapet, and two large sixteen-pane sash windows. A taller 19th-century addition extends from the rear of the building.
