Description
These are three cottages dating to the late 17th century, built of painted rubble stone with slate roofs. They are arranged in an L-shape. The front cottage, number 3, has coped gables and a truncated stack at the south end. It features a two-window front, with two-light ovolo-moulded recessed mullion windows and hoodmoulds over each window. Upper windows are set in dormer gables. A wall door is located at the north end, and a single-storey addition is located at the south end, featuring an ovolo-moulded single light window with a hood to the right of the door. Cottages number 4 and 5 are positioned behind the front cottage. They have a ridge stack, two similar dormer gables with two-light windows and hoodmoulds, and a ground-floor centre door. A two-light window with a hood is located to the right of the door, and another door is situated in the angle with cottage number 3. To the left is a slightly projecting single-window range with a right-end stack. This section also includes a rebuilt or new dormer gable and two-light ovolo-moulded mullion windows with hoods on both floors; the upper window is a 20th-century replacement. A further 20th-century extension is located beyond this.
