Description

Saddlers is a cottage dating from the 18th century, located in East Grafton on Grafton the Green. The building is constructed of brick with a thatched roof and features a timber-framed extension on the left, which includes tension braces. It is a single-storey and attic structure that has been raised to two storeys and incorporates three flush gabled dormers. The cottage has three bays, with a central six-panel door that includes a narrow fanlight and a canopy above. The windows are timber casements, and there are segmental relieving arches with keystones, the central arch being initialed "TF" and dated 1723. The building has gable stacks, and the left stack contains a timber fire lintel internally.
