Description
1, 2 and 3 Hampton Mews, The Tynings is an early 19th-century building located on Warminster Road in Westbury. The structure features a tall pedimented front made of brick, with a moulded stone string at the base of the pediment and moulded stone coping on a brick dentil course. It has bracketted and weathered stone angle offsets, and a semi-circular radiating window in the tympanum. The first floor has three arched windows with radiating glazing, while the ground floor has two similar but shorter windows alongside central double six-panel doors. These doors are framed by a painted stone moulded architrave with a key block, topped by a flat stone hood supported by cut stone brackets, and a segmental relieving arch above. A marble bust is now placed on the hood. The roof is covered with stone tiles, featuring old repairs, and is half hipped at the north-west end. The interior is galleried and is currently used as a furniture warehouse, with the main vessel comprising four bays.
