Description

49 Lower Westwood is a cottage located at the end of a row, dating from the early 19th century and extended in the 20th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a Welsh slate roof with coped verges and a stone stack on the right side. The building is two stories tall with two windows. There is a 20th-century lean-to porch attached to the left, and to the right, there are 20th-century flush mullioned sashes with eight panes on both the ground and first floors. A 20th-century addition to the left is not of special interest. The rear of the cottage has 20th-century casements. This building is included in the register primarily for its group value.
