Description

The yard wall gates and overthrow to No 11, located in The Close, date back to 1594. The structure features a high grey brick wall that screens the yard, topped with stone coping that sweeps up to stone capped piers. The gates are made of plain wood, and there is a notable wrought iron overthrow that includes a lantern. In the left section of the wall, there is a door consisting of six flush panels. All the listed buildings in The Close form an outstanding group.
