Description
The screen wall, rails, gate piers, gates, and overthrow of No 59 (Arundells) date back to 1594 and are located in The Close. The structure features a low screen wall along West Walk, which is complemented by plain bar rails. It includes tall square panelled ashlar gate piers with moulded caps, tall wrought iron gates that have plain bars, scroll side panels, and a central cross tie. Additionally, there are small dog rails and a curved head. The design is finished with a curved overthrow and a lamp holder. All the listed buildings in The Close create an outstanding group.
