Description
No. 341 is a cottage located in Fittleton, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and features a thatched roof. The building has one storey and an attic, originally comprising two bays, with a northern extension of one bay likely added in the 18th century using chalk, flint, and brick. A further extension to the south, built in the 19th century, consists of one bay outbuilding made of rendered brickwork, with the roof extended over both additions.
The cottage has a glazed door in the right bay set within a 20th-century open porch. Above the door, there is a clunch datestone inscribed with "1691 MP." The front of the left bay was partially rebuilt around 1930 following a collapse. The windows are casement style, and there are two flush dormers fitted with sliding sashes. A stack is located on the left bay, and the thatched roof is hipped on the left, half-hipped on the right, and swept over the dormers.
