Description

No 17 is an attached house from the mid-19th century, located on the north side of Lowbourne in Melksham. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof, with the gable end facing the street. The house is two stories tall and has one window. There is a door situated in a classical wooden porch on the right side, while a canted bay window is on the left. The first floor includes one casement window with margin lights and a canopy above it. The gable is adorned with decorative bargeboards that feature traceried carving and trefoils, along with a circular classical plaque. The rear of the house is made of brick and has a pantiled roof. This property has group value with Nos 15, 15a, and 15b.
