Description

This is a railed enclosure in the churchyard located about 18 meters south of the Church of St Margaret of Antioch. It dates from the early 19th century and features a limestone chest tomb surrounded by cast-iron railings that have spear heads and urn finials at the corners. The chest tomb has bow-fronted ends and large single panels with grooved borders, along with reeded corner balusters supporting a cyma-moulded raised top. The inscription on the tomb is illegible. This enclosure is one of two similar chest tombs found in this churchyard.
