Description

North Meadow Boundary Stones are a series of boundary stones located in North Meadow, erected in 1824. Made from silicaceous limestone, these stones were established following the 1824 enclosure award to mark the hay lofts in the common field. Originally, there were 31 stones, but 20 remain today, some of which are later replacements made from sandstone. The original stones feature the initials of the plot owners, including JB, TP, WI, and DH.
