Description
The Pierce Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 37 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St Michael. It dates from the 18th century and is made of limestone. The monument features a corniced table and a moulded base, with arcaded end panels and baroque foliage decorations on the end and centre panels. It commemorates Robert Pierce, who died in 1761, and Mary Pierce, who died in 1779.
