Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th to 17th century, with later additions from the 18th and early 19th centuries. It is built of Flemish brick on a greensand plinth and features a tiled roof, with pantiles at the rear. The building has two storeys and five bays, with a front range that includes a central through stair hall leading to a narrower parallel rear range. The central entrance has a glazed door set in an ovolo moulded and painted stone frame, with a replaced lintel and a 20th-century porch. The windows are either from the 19th century or early 20th century, with casements on the ground floor featuring segmental arches and gauged brick lintels above the upper floor windows. The eaves are adorned with moulded brick dentils. The right gable has been rebuilt and includes a two-storey rear wing. There are gable stacks, and a lead hopper dated 1785 has been refixed on the front. Inside, the right end of the building contains a two-storey structure from the 17th century, and the drawing room to the right of the entrance features moulded cross beams.
