Description
No. 77 is a detached house located in Monkton Farleigh Village, dating from the late 18th century and extended in the 19th century. The building is constructed of random rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with coped verges and gable end stone stacks. It is two stories high with two windows.
On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century half-glazed door positioned to the right of center, which is sheltered by a flat stone hood supported by brackets. To the right of the door is a 16-pane sash window, and to the left is a 3-light cyma-mullioned casement window. The first floor includes a 3-light cyma-mullioned casement window on the left and a 2-light 19th-century chamfered mullioned casement window on the right. The left side of the house has 2-light 19th-century mullioned sash windows on both the ground and first floors. At the rear, there is a parallel 19th-century range.
