Description
Nos 4 and 5 on High Street are a pair of cottages from the 18th century, now combined into one at the end of the row. They are constructed of rubble stone and feature a thatched roof with a half-hip on the right side and an axial brick stack. The entrance is located on the right return. The building is two stories tall and has a two-window front, with two 3-light casements on both the ground and first floors. The right return includes a 20th-century door in a porch, along with 3-light and 2-light casements on the ground and first floors. At the rear, there is an integral outshut to the right, which has a 2-light leaded casement in a hipped dormer, and a 20th-century addition to the left. Inside, the cottages feature chamfered beams, a planked door, and blocked open fireplaces.
