Description
No 1 High Street is a house from the 18th century, located in a row of buildings. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The house is two stories tall and has a three-window front. To the left, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door, while to the right are two 12-pane sash windows set in moulded architraves with keystones. On the first floor, there are three sash windows also in moulded stone architraves with keystones. The rear of the building has a tiled roof pitch, a lean-to extension, and an added outshut. Inside, the house boasts a good staircase with three turned balusters per tread, a wide moulded handrail, and a turned newel. The doors feature six fielded panels within moulded architraves, and the roof is of three bays.
