Description

This is a row of three houses located in Pickwick, dating from the early to mid-18th century. The buildings are constructed from rubble stone with some ashlar detailing, and have stone-tiled roofs with two ridge stacks.

No. 27 has a single-room plan and features two-light flush cyma-moulded mullion windows on both floors, each with dripstones. The front door is situated to the left and is set within a flush, chamfered surround with an open pediment hood supported by carved brackets, resembling the design found at No. 32.

No. 29 is double-fronted, with the left side faced in ashlar and having flush quoins on the right party wall. It has flush cyma-moulded mullion windows with dripstones; two two-light windows are located above, and a two-light and a three-light window are situated below. A central door is set within a flush, chamfered surround with a hood on brackets.

No. 31 is also double-fronted, with two first-floor flush cyma-moulded two-light windows, each with a hoodmould. The ground floor features a two-light and a single-light recessed ovolo-moulded mullion window, also with hoodmoulds, and a central door within a flush, chamfered surround, topped with a segmental stone hood on brackets.
