Description

These are two cottages located in Pickwick, built between the 17th and early 18th centuries. They are constructed of rubble stone with stone tiled roofs. Number 30, which faces east, has been significantly renewed. It features a stack at the north end. A dormer gable on the left has a 2-light recessed ovolo-moulded mullion window with a hoodmould. A 20th-century Tudor-arched doorway has a hood above it, and to the right, an upper single light, likely renewed, is set above a 20th-century 2-light window with a hood. Heavy corner stones are visible at the north end. Number 32, which adjoins number 30 to the north, occupies an irregular plot, with its gable end set back to align with the road. It has a coped gable with a saddlestone. The east side of number 32, adjoining number 30, has a dormer gable with a 2-light mullion window and a dripstone. The north gable end features a roundel in the apex. The first-floor window is a 3-light mullion window with a dripstone. The ground floor has a 2-light and a 3-light recessed cyma-moulded window with a dripcourse, stopped with an open pedimental hood on brackets over a boarded door in a chamfered surround.
