Description

The dovecote located in the garden behind Shrewton Manor dates from the 18th century. It is constructed from chequered flint and limestone, topped with a pyramidal Welsh slate roof that features a slate-roofed cupola with pigeon holes. There is one planked door, which is a 19th-century addition, while an earlier door has been blocked. Inside, the dovecote has an inserted floor, and the walls are lined with chalk and limestone pigeon boxes.
