Description

79 Gloucester Road is a house built around 1830. It features coursed limestone rubble with brick gable stacks and a stone slate roof. The building has a single-depth plan, is two storeys high, and includes a cellar. The symmetrical front has cambered heads above a recessed doorway with a panelled door, and there are 8/8-pane sash windows in exposed boxes. To the left of the doorway, there is a small opening for the cellar. At the rear, there is an outshut. Inside, the ground floor has had partitions removed, which used to create a central passage, and there is a right-hand rear winder dogleg stair.
