Description
The Hit or Miss Inn is a 17th-century inn that was extended in the early 19th century. It features painted rubble stone construction and a stone slate roof, with end stacks on the original range and a central ridge stack on the east extension. The building is two storeys high.
The original left section is double-fronted, showcasing two 3-light cyma-moulded flush stone mullion windows on each floor, along with a central door that has a flush moulded surround and a hood supported by brackets. The right section is also double-fronted, with two triple casements on each floor, featuring brick jambs and timber lintels, as well as two central doors with timber lintels. Inside the original part, there are deep-chamfered beams with stepped run-out stops.
