Description

Two houses, located on Pound Pill, Corsham. Number 11 dates to the 18th century, and Number 10 was originally two cottages built in the 19th century. They are constructed of rubble stone with stone tiled roofs, and each house has a stack at the north end.

Number 10 was originally one house, with a two-light window to the left of the front door and single-light windows to the right. A small, separate house is situated to the right of Number 10, featuring a single window range with a door to the right. All windows have flush-chamfered frames with hood moulds. The front doors include hoods supported on brackets.

Number 11 is double-fronted; to the left, it has a one-window range of two-light windows with a cyma-moulded profile. A dripstone is positioned above the upper window, and a dripcourse runs above the ground floor, linking to the central front door. The door is recessed within a moulded, flush doorcase with a hood on brackets. To the right of Number 11, there’s a 20th-century window, and a lean-to extension runs along the rear of Number 12. The houses are included in the listing due to their group value.
