Description
The T. Coates monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 15 metres south of the chancel at the southeast angle of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features two plaques on each side, with a vase and flowers depicted between the plaques on the south side, and a foliage spray between the plaques on the north side. The corners of the tomb are designed with baluster shapes, and it is topped with a moulded capstone.
