Description

42 and 43 Church Street are a pair of attached houses, currently used as a house and shop, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of limestone rubble with brick quoins around the openings and feature a pantile roof. The buildings have a double-depth plan and rise to two storeys with a two-window range. The central wide doorway has timber lintels and a six-panel door, flanked by horned 2/2-pane sash windows. The left-hand side has an altered late 19th-century shop front with a door on the right. There are also two raking dormers with 20th-century casements. The interior has not been inspected.
