Description
Grove Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of rubble stone, featuring a stone-tiled mansard roof and end wall stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with one 20th-century hipped dormer on the front and three at the rear. It has flush quoins and a raised band. The façade includes a three-window range of bead-moulded mullion windows, with a two-light window in the centre of the first floor and three-light windows on each side. The ground floor windows have been renewed and lengthened in the 20th century. There is a central bead-moulded doorcase with a hood supported by brackets, leading to a 20th-century door. The rear features two gabled wings and an extension to the left, which were rebuilt or remodelled in the 20th century. A stone dated 1786 was found during the remodelling and has been reset in the rear wing.
