Description

The gate piers to the Old Rectory in Cheverell Magna date back to the 18th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and measure approximately 60 centimeters square. The piers feature inner stops and are set on stone bases. At the top, they have cyma and ovolo moulded stone caps, which support draped urn finials. The tops of the stops are also moulded in stone.
