Description
Wrens is a house and shop located at the end of a row, dating from the late 17th century. The building is constructed of dressed limestone and features a fishscaled tiled roof with brick stacks. It is two stories tall and has three windows.
On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century ribbed door to the left of center, set in a chamfered stone surround. To the left and right of this door are three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements. To the right, there is a 20th-century shop front. The first floor has two three-light mullioned casements and a two-light 19th-century mullioned window with cusped lights and a hoodmould to the right. A 19th-century gabled dormer with a two-light casement is present in the roof, with a coped verge to the right.
The right return features a three-light beaded mullioned casement on the ground floor and a two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement with a hoodmould on the first floor. The rear wall is made of brick and includes a 20th-century lean-to extension.
