Description

44-48 West Street is a mid to late 18th century building that stands two storeys high. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble with ashlar quoins. The facade features four ranges of windows, including small outer three-light windows and two small windows on the first floor. The ground floor has one three-light casement, two single-light casements, and a later glazed sash, all of which are later openings with brick lintel arches. There are three ledged doorways, with Nos 46 and 48 positioned closely together. The building has a high-pitched pantile roof with an exposed wall plate, two gable ends, and a large central chimney. At the rear, there is a catslide roof with one gabled dormer.
