Description
Bleak House is a house dating to 1824, constructed of ashlar with a slate roof, featuring end and ridge stacks. The two-storey structure has a four-window front with twelve-pane sash windows. A band runs across the facade, topped by a moulded cornice and parapet. The main entrance, in the second bay, is framed by a beaded arch with a traceried fanlight, sheltered by a hood on consoles. The window directly above the door is recessed within a segmental headed frame. The ground floor window on the left side has a timber lintel. A low ashlar coped wall, incorporating spearhead iron railings and two gateways with ashlar piers and spearhead iron gates, extends alongside the property. The railings have spearhead finials.
