Description
Little Thatches, also known as Old Forge Cottage, dates to the 16th century and has been modernized. The building is timber framed with colourwashed brick, flint, and plaster infilling on a base of stone, flint, and brick. It has a thatched gable roof, with the north end partly weatherboarded and the south end half-tile hung. The front elevation is irregular and features six modern leaded casements and doors. The west front has three eyebrow dormers. An external brick chimney is present. Little Thatches and Old Forge Cottage are situated as a group with Dairy Cottage.
