Description
Holly Tree Farmhouse is a cottage built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, constructed from ironstone rubble and featuring a thatched half-hipped roof with a rebuilt rear wall stack. The building stands two storeys tall and has a double-fronted design. It includes pairs of casement windows on the upper floor and shallow canted bays with timber leaded windows on either side of a 20th-century door, which is sheltered by a fishscale tiled lean-to roof. There are also casement windows on the end walls. At the back, there is a long wing that is partly from the early to mid-19th century and partly from the 20th century, featuring thatching. A cottage has been noted on this site on a map by J. Powell from 1763.
