Description
Church Farmhouse is a 17th-century building that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a pantiled roof with an axial gabled stack. The farmhouse is designed in an L-shape and has a single-storey, three-window front. The entrance consists of a six-panelled door with flattened Tudor-arched heads. To the left of the door is a 12-pane sash window, and to the right are two additional sash windows. An ashlar stack with offsets is located to the right of the door.
The 17th-century range that projects to the left includes a pair of beaded sash windows and a blocked doorway. There is an attic gable with a small sash window facing west, and the gable of the wing features a gabled stack. The left part of this range has blocked ground floor openings and a two-light ovolo-mullioned casement window on the first floor. At the rear of the single-storey range, there is a six-panelled door, along with 11-pane and 8-pane sash windows. Additionally, there are three gabled stone attic dormers with small sash windows. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in June 1987.
