Description

19 and 20 Cliffe Pypard Road are two cottages built in the 18th and 19th centuries. They are constructed from brick and sarsen stone, topped with thatched roofs. The cottages are single storey with an attic. Cottage No 20 has two bays, featuring a central boarded door. The bay to the right has a sarsen front wall, while the left side displays diaper brickwork with three-light casement windows and a segmental brick arch. The thatch extends over one dormer and the stack opposite the door. Cottage No 19, which adjoins on the right, has a front wall of diaper brickwork and originally had two doors, but now has one boarded door. It features timber casement windows and thatch that sweeps over two dormers, along with a gable stack.
