Description
Rabson Manor is a house dating from the early 17th century and later. It is constructed from rendered sarsen stone and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with three bays, a forward wing on the right, and a narrower rear wing that was further extended in the 19th century. The left end of the house was also extended in brick during the 19th century. The entrance is located in a porch at the re-entrant angle. The windows are late 20th century plastic coated metal. There is a stack on the left gable and another stack on the gable of the early rear wing, which has five tall brick shafts. At the rear, there is an open lean-to adjoining the farmyard. The interior reportedly contains part of a late 17th century stair, although it has not been seen. Rabson was an endowment of Amesbury Abbey.
