Description
Manor House is a later manor house from the early 17th century, constructed of coursed sarsen stone with a tiled roof. It has two storeys and an attic, designed in an L-shape, featuring five bays on the street front and a later two-bay rear wing that contains the entrance. There is also an early 19th-century stone wing attached to the west gable. The front has a moulded surround to a 17th-century boarded door, which is topped by an 18th-century canopy. The windows on the front are stone mullioned, consisting of two-light and paired two-light windows with king mullions. The rear mostly features 17th-century timber windows with iron leaded casements, many of which have timber lintels carved with billets. The roof is hipped and has two external stacks at the gable of the rear wing and the attached extension. Inside, there are timber framed partitions in the rear wing, and the two eastern bays of the main block are used as stables.
