Description

Nos 1 to 3 Cannon Green is an 18th-century short terrace of two storeys and an attic, featuring old tile roofs.

No 1 has brick construction on a stone footing, with a projecting plinth and raised stone surrounds that have beaded inner edges around the late glazed sash windows. It includes one hipped dormer in the centre of the roof, three square windows on the first floor, and two windows with a central door on the ground floor. The door is six-panelled, with the upper panels glazed, and has a stone surround with cut stone brackets supporting a moulded flat hood.

No 2 is made of painted brick and features stone surrounds for the glazing bar sash windows, along with a moulded eaves cornice. It has two gabled dormers with sash windows and three windows on the first floor. The ground floor has two windows and a central nine-panel door, with the top three panels glazed. This door is adorned with stone brackets, stone scroll brackets, a small cornice, and a pediment, as well as a good contemporary knocker.

No 3 shares a similar design with No 2 but has a longer front and more widely spaced windows. It features glazing bar sashes except for the ground floor window to the left. The three houses are set back from the street onto the churchyard, with front gardens that include hedges, a dwarf wall, and gate piers.
